Cambodia To Attract 4 Million Foreign Visitors in 2013

This year, Cambodia is expected to receive some 4 million foreign visitors, H.E. Thong Khon said today at the consultative workshop on development of mechanism to support “One Tourist, One Tree” campaign.

Addressing the workshop, H.E. Thong Khon also highly valued the green tourism by encouraging all tourists to grow trees during their visit in the Kingdom.

Cambodian will launch the “One Tourist, One Tree” campaign next month to protect the environment, said the minister, explaining that the campaign will become a new and attractive tourism product.

According to H.E. Thong Khon, in 2012 Cambodia received 3.5 million foreign visitors, up 25 percent, and earned some US$2 billion.
