International Women's Day

On the upcoming Tuesday March 08, 2011 ,the Sub Decree on Public Holiday the Royal Government of Cambodia allows all civil servants, employees, and employers to have 0ne day off.

Next month, March 08 is the significant day to show the brave history of women in the world and the Unite Nations celebrates this day. Moreover some other countries remark this day as their national holiday. For Cambodia, all leaders always appreciate the decision and voice of the women; many law, strategies and principles are being set up to upgrade and strengthen women's value so that women can get involved in the management and development of family, communities as well as the whole nation.

 According to the Article No. 35 of the National Constitution of the Kingdom of Cambodia, "Both Cambodian sexes have their rights to participate in political, economic, social and cultural activities of the Nation".

Therefore, the rectangular strategy of the Royal Government plays a very significant role to uplift gender in Cambodia to 3rd target of MDGs (Millennium Development Goals) on Gender Equity and Providing courageous to women.
