Cambodian Living Arts proudly presents the new Living Arts Tours and the second season of the successful "Children of Bassac" dance performance at Phnom Penh's National Museum.

Due to its enormous success in its first season, the Children of Bassac weekly performance at the National Museum will resume every Thursday at 7 pm, starting from December 1st, 2011 through April 26th, 2012.

Led by Master Ieng Sithul, one of Cambodia’s most well-known traditional singers and performers, the Children of Bassac are a dynamic group of young dancers who come from Phnom Penh’s Bassac slum area. All of the proceeds go to these young artists and the master artists who teach the group.

Looking for authentic culture tours in Cambodia? Cambodian Living Arts (CLA) offers glimpses into Cambodian culture by giving tourists the possibility to visit their art classes.

CLA supports more than 16 traditional performing arts classes in 8 provinces around Cambodia, where aging master artists teach children many of whom come from the families of landless farmers or the urban slums in and around Phnom Penh and Siem Reap.

Visitors will experience how the performing arts are taught in Cambodia, get the chance to meet our teachers and students and perhaps even have the opportunity to try their hand at playing a traditional instrument.

These private tours are targeted at international guests who want to see more of Cambodia than Angkor Wat, the Royal Palace and the Killing Fields. The income we receive from these tours benefits Cambodian artists.
