Cambodia saw a sharp increase in the number of Vietnamese tourist arrivals in the first five months of this year to around 305,000.
According to its Ministry of Tourism, some 1.5 million foreign visitors have arrived this year, a year-on-year increase of 26.3 per cent. Of this, 1.1 million were from the Asia-Pacific region.
Last year almost 3 million tourists visited Cambodia, including 600,000 from Viet Nam.
The Angkor Wat temple complex in Siem Reap, the royal palace in Phnom Penh, and the beaches in Kongpong Som province are the most popular destinations in the country. — VNS
