The Cambodian weekly cabinet meeting held yesterday morning under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen discussed and approved three main agendas related to tourism development, environment and health and the Board of Cambodian Architects’ General Secretariat.
The first document adopted is the draft of 2012-2013 Tourism Development Strategic Development Plan focusing on tourism transportation system, travel connectivity and facilitation, safety and security system, human resource development, etc., according to a news release of the Press and Quick Reaction Unit of the Office of the Council of Ministers issued after the meeting.
The meeting further approved the draft of National Policy on Environment and Health drawn up by the Ministry of Health. The draft outlined the joint strategies to manage, follow up and assess the environmental impacts on health and welfare, as well as to enhance the Cambodian people’s life quality through health and environmental risk management.
The five-chapter of 16-article draft of Sub-Decree on the Functioning of the Board of Cambodian Architects’ General Secretariat was also adopted on the occasion.
In addition, the Cabinet Ministers agreed to submit the Convention on Nuclear Safety and the Convention on Early Notification of a Nuclear Accident of the National Chemical Weapons Authority; as well as the ASEAN Multilateral Agreement on the Full Liberalization of Passenger Air Services, the Protocol to Implement the Sixth Package of Commitments on Air Transport Service under the ASEAN Framework Agreement on Services, and the MoU on ASEAN’s Air Services Engagement with Dialogue Partners of the Civil Aviation Secretariat to the National Assembly for approval.
