SINGAPORE Cambodia Bayon Airlines has chosen Abacus as its first global distribution system partner to help the airline tap travel agency bookings within Asia.
The multi-year distribution agreement will provide Abacus-connected travel agents across 29 markets with access to all the airline’s fare content.
“In Asia, travel agencies remain a core point-of-sale for customers. Abacus, our first and primary GDS partner is therefore the cornerstone of our strategy to establish a consistent booking network,” said Cambodia Bayon Airlines vice president Bai Wei Dong.
Singapore-based Abacus International serves a network of 20,000 travel agency locations in 31 markets.

The new carrier will use up to 20 Chinese MA60 aircraft for domestic services and lease an Airbus A320s for future international routes. It is a subsidiary of Bayon Holding Limited, part of Aviation Corporation of China (AVIC) and China Eastern’s Joy Air, based in Hong Kong.
