PHNOM PENH Cambodia Angkor Air plans to expand its partnerships with leading global distribution system (GDS) networks to improve its worldwide reservations and ticketing.
Phnom Penh Post quoted the airline’s sales deputy general manager, Eng Molina, saying the airline will add Sabre and Axess (Japan) to its list of GDS partners to improve sales through travel agents.
“In line with the expansion of our sales network and route plan, Cambodia Angkor Air will join more GDS systems to improve accessibility for our customers.”
inside no 4He said: “The addition of Sabre would facilitate bookings from the United States, while Axess would link more partners in the Japanese market.”
Sabre recently bought out the Singapore-based Abacus and rebranded all of the acquired Asia-wide operations under Sabre.
Cambodia Angkor Air has six GDS partners –Amadeus, Abacus, TravelSky, Topas, Infini and Galileo/Apollo.
Cambodia Angkor Air currently flies to Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Guangzhou and Shanghai using its fleet of six aircraft, which includes four Airbus 321s and two ATRs.
