Apsara Authority officials have told vendors in front of the Angkor Wat temple to suspend their activities for three days from Friday to Sunday for Prime Minister Hun Sen’s visit to attend a blessing ceremony there.
Sum Mab, Apsara Authority director-general, issued the directive to the vendors on Monday in order to maintain public order in the area of the temple’s front gate.
Tourist groups have also been asked to avoid brining clients to the front gate during the same time period.
“For all kinds of tourist transportation, please drop guests who need to visit Angkor Wat temple at a temporary location and park vehicles at the west of temple,” Mr Mab said in the directive.
