Vattanac Capital Tower, one of the most recognisible elements of the city’s skyline, was officially inaugurated on Saturday.
The building, which was actually completed in 2012 and is valued at $100 million, stands 186 metres high in Phnom Penh’s Daun Penh district. It is a mixed-use commercial building with offices, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets and a number of international brands.
The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Prime Minister Hun Sen, who said the building is a point of price for the city.

He said the building was built during the global financial crisis when growth in the local real estate sector was sluggish.
