Prime Minister Hun Sen last week urged Thai officials to speed up work on finalising the details of a memorandum of understanding that will specify the rules for the transportation of goods by train across the border between Cambodia and Thailand.
The Cambodian premier asked Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha to expedite work on the agreement during a meeting on the sidelines of the ACMECS CEO Forum in Bangkok last week.
“We are still waiting to sign the MoU, as the finance ministers of both countries continue to work on internal regulation,” Mr Hun Sen told reporters at the summit.
“Officials from both sides should meet as soon as possible to discuss the procedures to be established in each country and help us reach an agreement,” he said.
