CamControl yesterday issued a statement threatening punitive measures against people who impersonate Ministry of Commerce officials to receive money from gas station owners.
According to the statement, a number of gas stations in the country have reported cases of people falsely claiming to work for CamControl to conduct checks on gas pumps and other equipment. After concluding the checks, the impersonators demand payment from the gas station owners.
Those impersonators will now be apprehended and will face legal action, although the statement fell short of providing concrete details regarding the punishment.
