Ride-hailing company PassApp and Wing, a money transfer firm, yesterday signed an agreement that will make paying for tuk tuk rides in Phnom Penh easier.
Under the new agreement, nearly 3,000 PassApp vehicles will be equipped with a QR code-based payment system called ‘Wing Ket Luy’ that enables cashless transactions.
Wing’s CEO Jojo Malolos said the new system will enhance passengers’ safety.
“Our products and services aim to provide solutions to the problems our customers face. The payment method ‘Wing Ket Luy’ on PassApp tuk tuks will facilitate payments and, in general, make rides a lot safer,” Mr Malolos said.
