France is providing input in the drafting of a tourism master plan for Siem Reap city, according to an official from the Ministry of Tourism.
According to Top Sopheak, Ministry of Tourism spokesperson, on Sunday, two French organisations – Universite Toulouse 1 Capitole and Acting For Life – participated in a workshop organised by the ministry to provide technical assistance in the drafting of the master plan.
Mr Sopheak said the ministry is organising workshops with different organisations to collect input from experts to draft the master plan.
He said the master plan will identify high-rise building, industrial, and waste management areas, among others. Water supply systems and plans to reduce traffic congestion will also be included in the plan.
Mr Sopheak said the development of ‘supreme tourism areas’ will also be considered in the master plan.
