Singapore Airlines (SIA) announced plans to significantly increase the number of flights to several key destinations, including Siem Reap province, in response to rising demand for air travel.

The changes will take effect from March to October 2025, as part of the airline's broader efforts to boost passenger capacity across its network.

“In a news release on Monday [August 12], SIA detailed its plans to enhance services to various popular cities worldwide,” according to Singapore’s Channel News Asia (CNA)

Notably, flights to Siem Reap, a major tourist destination in Cambodia, will be doubled to twice daily, up from the current once-daily service.

The increase reflects the growing interest in Siem Reap as a travel destination, particularly for visitors keen on exploring the iconic Angkor Wat temple complex and other cultural landmarks.

The expansion of services to the province is part of SIA’s wider approach to meet the anticipated surge in travel demand during the mid-year peak season in 2025.

SIA's acting senior vice-president for marketing planning Dai Haoyu emphasizsed that the airline regularly reviews its network to align capacity with passenger volume.

"These adjustments, ahead of next summer, cater to the higher demand to several destinations, particularly during the traditional mid-year peak travel season, enabling our customers to confidently make their 2025 travel plans," said Dai.
