The Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) Saturday decided to reduce e-visa fees for tourists, business travellers and ordinary citizens, effective January 1, 2025.
RGC has accordingly instructed relevant ministries and institutions to enhance and facilitate procedures for issuing e-Visas and e-Arrival visas within the Royal Government’s single ecosystem, according to a RGC’s press release.
“Additionally, it mandates a reduction in e-Visa fees for Tourist (T) and ordinary visa types (E). These changes will take effect starting January 1, 2025.”
The updated e-Visa fees are as follows :
- e-Visa T reduced from $36 to $30
- e-Visa E reduced from $42 to $35
Tob Sopheak, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Tourism (MoT), told Khmer Times that as part of the Royal Government, MoT, under the leadership of Minister Huot Hak has been actively working to attract tourists to Cambodia.
“The goal is to promote Cambodian tourism across all destinations in the tourism market and in 2024, we expect to receive 6.7 million international tourists.
“The government consistently prioritizes the promotion of tourism sector, and the e-Visas discount is intended to facilitate travel for tourists,” Sopheak said.
