PHNOM PENH, Oct 29 (Bernama) -- Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said the country's economic growth is forecast at 7 percent and inflation rate is expected to go down to 2.9 percent this year, Xinhua news agency reported.
The growth comes from increase in garment exports, tourism and construction with the agriculture sector expected to see positive growth, Hun said at a students graduation ceremony at Asia-Europe University.
According to official reports, the country exported garment products equivalent to US$3.54 billion during the first eight months of the year, a 11 percent rise compared with the same period last year.
Cambodia attracted some 2.33 million foreign tourists, a 24 percent rise compared with the same period last year.
The construction sector attracted US$1.83 billion investments in the first 9 months of the year, registering a 83 percent increase.
