The Department of Books and Reading of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts awarded new 6 outstanding novel and poem authors on June 25.
The awarding ceremony was presided over by H.E. Him Chhem, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts.
The first winner was awarded to Ms. Moch Kol Lin, from Stung Treng province, who wrote a novel titled “3 Roses”; the two second was Ms. Pol Pisey, from Phnom Penh, who wrote a poem titled “The Smell of Rice Flowers” and Ms. Nil Bunny, from Stung Streng province, who wrote a novel titled “A Day Hope”.
The other winners were from, Kandal, Preah Vihear, and Siem Reap provinces.
H.E. Him Chhem encouraged the Cambodian authors to continue their efforts to write more novels and poems for the local readers.
