Phnom Penh to host pharma conference

The largest pharmaceutical and medical conference to date in the Kingdom will be held this September in Phnom Penh.

A slew of local and international companies are expected to display their products and services at the ‘5th International Exhibition and Conference on Pharmaceutical, Medical, Laboratory and Dental Industry in Cambodia’.

Products on display will include accident and emergency equipment, hospital equipment, medicines, cosmetics, and dental products.

The event is timely considering the rapid growth of the Kingdom’s healthcare industry. There is a growing demand for high-quality medical supplies and equipment among Cambodia’s hospitals and the more than 1,000 health centres in the country.

The relatively large Cambodia market of 16 million people and the country’s strategic location at the heart of Indochina also factored in the decision to hold the event again.

According to the official website, the expo is the perfect platform to network and discover the latest industry innovations.

Past editions of the event drew exhibitors from France, Turkey, Germany, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, South Korea, and India.

Organisers are expecting several thousand local and foreign visitors to the two-day event.
