Yam-Yam, a popular restaurant in Phnom Penh that offers Chinese and Cambodian food, has opened a new branch.
Located at Vattanac Capital, the new restaurant opened its doors to the public on Monday.
The restaurant owner, Chinese investor Bryan Bai, said he saw potential in opening a food establishment at the centre of a business district.
“I opened the original Yam-Yam in BKK back in 2015. Business was good, so I decided to open another branch in an area where businesses congregate,” he said.
“This is a very good location; this is the CBD of Phnom Penh,” he added.
According to him, their target customers include businesspeople and others working at Vattanac Capital as well as offices and businesses nearby, which include Canadia Tower, Exchange Square, and Lycee Francais Rene Descartes, a French school.
Mr Bai said they serve 15 Cambodian and Chinese dishes. These include the popular Cambodian noodle soup ‘kuy teav’ and the Chinese soup known as ‘houn toun’.
“We mostly target Cambodians and Chinese people here,” he pointed out.
The restaurant is open every day, including holidays, from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm.
Despite being located at one of the most high-end locations in Phnom Penh, Mr Bai said they offer good food at affordable prices. Some of the dishes are priced as low as $2.
According to him, they have a dedicated and hardworking team committed to providing the best possible service.
