The second edition of Cambodia’s biggest aviation show will be held over three days in December, according to the event’s Facebook page.
The 2nd Air & Tech Show will likely be held once again at the Pochentong Airbase in Phnom Penh, although the Facebook page did not specify a location.
The event, to be held on December 13-15, is an opportunity for local and international aviation companies to showcase their products and services. It also seeks to inspire locals, especially the youth, to pursue careers in aviation.
To prepare for the event, organisers have been meeting with vendors, contestants and exhibition teams over the past several months.
The Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC) Svay Rieng chapter is expected to participate as is the Royal Cambodian Air Force, the Ministry of Education, and Helistar.
The first edition of the expo attracted several thousand people from Cambodia and abroad. They visited booths and admired the demo flights and the aircraft models on display.
There were also scores of exhibitors, including several local and international aviation companies that showcased their wares to the public. Airbus and the Philippines’ Alpha Aviation were among them.
The Cambodian Air Force had aircraft on display, including Chinese-made Z-9 Harbin helicopters, Xian MA-60 turboprop transport, and Russian-made Mil-Mi-8 helicopters.
