Singapore continues to draw in some of the fastest growing travel markets across the globe, with visitors from China, India and Singapore registering the strongest growth to the country in April this year.
The three strong markets helped usher Changi Airport’s passenger movements up by 12.7 percent during the fourth month of the year compared to the same period last year, with the airport welcoming up to 4.21 million passenger movements during the month.
Other strong markets, according to the airport, included the Middle East, South Asia, Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia.
With the increasing number of arrivals and departures, the airport noted a 8.8 percent jump in aircraft movements for the month compared to the same month last year, with up to 26,400 planes landing and taking off from its runways.
