SEOUL, May 25 (Xinhua) -- South Korea's Incheon International Airport has been named the world's best airport for the seventh consecutive year, the airport's operator said Friday.
South Korea's main gateway received the award for "Best Airport Worldwide" of 2011 by Airports Council International (ACI) at a ceremony held in Singapore on Thursday, according to Incheon International Airport Corporation.
The rating is the result of interviews ACI conducted with 350, 000 passengers using airports worldwide.
The Incheon Airport is the only airport in the world to have garnered the top spot seven times in a row since the industry's top honor was introduced in 1993, the operator said. Dubai International Airport won the award three times from 1993 to 1995.
Singapore's Changi Airport came in second and Beijing Capital International Airport took third.
