Korean Air has announced a code-share agreement with Czech Airlines on the Incheon-Prague route. The code share will commence on the 1 June 2013 and will provide more convenience and choice to passengers.
Korean Air’s flights depart from Incheon International Airport on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday’s at 12:45 and arrive in Prague at 16:50 the same day. Starting 1 June, Czech Airline will operate on Tuesday and Sunday with the same departure and arrival schedule as Korean Air. The code share agreement will give a total of 6 flights a week on the route.
Future plans include Czech Airlines adding an additional flight on Thursday to give a daily service.
Codeshare is an aviation business partnership through which a flight operated by one airline, is jointly marketed by one or more other airlines. The purpose of code share is to facilitate travel for travelers, by allowing them to travel across the networks of multiple airlines with a single reservation, in order to reach their final destination.
Korean Air currently has code share partnerships with Czech Airlines’ flights connecting from Prague to 17 major European cities including Frankfurt, Rome, Paris and Munich.
Korean Air also has code share partnerships with 28 other airlines worldwide, including Delta Air Lines, Air France, KLM, China Southern Airlines and Saudia Airlines.
