BANGKOK Airports of Thailand has signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with New Kansai International Airport to cooperate in airport management.
The agreement was signed in Bangkok, 29 August, by AoT president, Makin Petplai and president & CEO of NKIA, Keiichi Ando.
The agreement covers four main areas of cooperation.
• An exchange of information via workshops and airport visits;
• Joint work activities, including staff training;
• Marketing and promotions;
• Hosting regular meetings and sharing best practices.
NKIAC, which manages both Kansaiand Itami international airports, is the eighth international airport operator to establish a cooperation agreement under the tag “sister airport” partnerships with the AoT.
The main areas of cooperation are almost identical for other airport operators in Asia, Europe and the United States, which will require AoT to attend numerous meetings and make airport visits to seek ways to imporve its operations in Thailand.
They are Flughafen München GmbH (FMG) (Munich Airport), Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC), Narita International Airport Corporation (NAA), Beijing Capital International Airport Company Limited, the City of Austin Aviation Department (Austin-Bergstrom International Airport), Lao Airports Authority (LAA) (Luang Prabang International Airport) and Pioneer Aerodrome Services Co., Ltd (PAS) (Yangon International Airport and Nay Pyi Taw International Airport).
