Sanctuary Retreats expands its portfolio

In an effort to expand its customer base, Sanctuary Retreats announced that Makanyane Safari Lodge has been added to its luxury camps and lodges.

The lodge is situated in South Africa’s premier game-viewing destinations. The new addition brings the Sanctuary Retreats portfolio to 16 boutique safari camps and lodges across Africa as of 1 August 2015.

Some of the facilities offered include a lounge and dining area including a spa offering massage and aromatherapy, an air-conditioned gym and swimming pool.

Marco Rosa, senior VP of Sanctuary Retreats Hospitality said: “Sanctuary Makanyane Safari Lodge enables us to offer South Africa for the first time as a destination for a luxury safari with Sanctuary Retreats. It is also ideal to twin with one of our Botswana lodges.”

The Madikwe Game Reserve is home to the ‘Big Five’, as well as the rare African wild dog, cheetah, giraffe, hyena and over 360 bird species. Activities on offer include morning and night game drives, guided walks, birding expeditions, bush dinners and sundowners.
