On behalf of the Thai tourism industry, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) extends its heartfelt condolences to the people of France in the wake of the tragic events in Paris. TAT's thoughts and prayer are with the families and friends of everyone who lost someone they love or who was injured in the attacks.
All in the Thai tourism industry condemn those responsible for the heinous acts that have affected the peace of France and the world as a whole. France has always been a resilient nation, and TAT is certain the country and her people will emerge from the events stronger than ever before.
The tourism industry of Thailand and France have enjoyed a deep relationship over a long period, with Thailand welcoming 502,247 French travellers during January–September 2015, making France the 4th largest source of tourist market from Europe to Thailand. Both France and Thailand have enjoyed a free flow of travel and tourism between each other, and TAT is confident this will continue as people remain determined to foster goodwill and friendship across the globe.
Against this backdrop of close collaboration, TAT and the Thai tourism industry are committed to extend every possible support to the French tourism industry. TAT is ready to assist and work with its partners in France to assist travellers in need and those who seek information as they plan their travel arrangements. TAT's office in Paris is on hand to coordinate all assistance efforts.
Again, TAT is deeply saddened at what happened in Paris. TAT stands united with France and her tourism industry in this difficult time and is prepared to work together with its French partners for a better and safer tomorrow.
