BANGKOK Best Western Hotels & Resorts has revealed plans to launch its new boutique lifestyle brand, Vīb, in Myanmar.
Scheduled to welcome its first guests in 2018, the new-build Vīb Yangon will offer 110 rooms featuring an urban design, along with a high level of internet connectivity.
Guests will benefit from complimentary Wi-Fi, work spaces with conveniently placed universal power outlets and USB ports, and “Smart” flat-screen televisions.
inside no 6Vīb also provides guests with mobile check-in services, a “grab and go” snack station and fitness centre.
“At Best Western we understand that today’s independently-minded guests demand a high degree of convenience and connectivity. That’s why we developed Vīb that focuses on the needs of millennial travellers,” explained Best Western Hotels & Resorts’ managing director of international operations – Asia, Olivier Berrivin.
The decision to launch its first Vīb hotel in Myanmar reflects Best Western’s long-term commitment to the country, he added.
In 2013, Best Western became one of the first global hotel companies to open in Myanmar, following the country’s re-emergence onto the international stage. It has since expanded to a portfolio of three operating hotels, located in Yangon and Mandalay, with several more in the pipeline.
