FCM strengthens presence in KL

SINGAPORE FCm Travel Solutions expands its presence in Asia-Pacific with the launch of a fully owned operation in Malaysia, effective today, 16 November.
FCm Travel Solutions, is the global corporate travel brand of the Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG), introduces a fully owned business unit in Malaysia after having operated through a network partner in the country for the past decade.
In recent years, Malaysia has displayed strong multinational growth in the corporate travel space, prompting FCm to set up equity operations.

inside no 2The new Malaysia operation will be managed by FCm’s Singapore, headed by general manager Bertrand Saillet.
The company has recruited a team of travel consultants, sales and account managers to serve the Malaysian market.
The new team underwent comprehensive training to enable a smooth transition from partner agency to fully owned operations. The team will be based out of a brand new office in Axiata Tower, located in central Kuala Lumpur.
Flight Centre Travel Group managing director, Suyin Lee, said of the expansion, “We are continuing to increase our reach across Asia-Pacific and by transitioning into a fully owned operation in a key market for us, is a big step towards us achieving our expansion goals.”
FCm Singapore and Malaysia general manager, Bertrand Saillet, said of the changes, “We have recruited skilled and enthusiastic team of travel experts to represent us. We are looking forward to getting started to support this growing market and building a local client base.”
FCm now operates in more than 90 countries worldwide, including 17 countries in the Asia-Pacific, of which seven are now wholly owned operations.

It is currently the only global corporate travel management company operating in Malaysia.
