BANGKOK Thai Airways International and Boeing hosted a photo exhibition to mark the US aircraft manufacturer’s 100 year anniversary.
The photo exhibition chronicles the history of Boeing and its role in assisting the growth of aviation in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Boeing has been a major player in Asian aviation since World War II.
Highlights of its history include the introduction of iconic aircraft such as the Boeing 707 and later in the 1970s the Boeing 747, often tagged ‘Jumbo Jet’. Its later version, the 747-400, still serves Asian destinations today.
Centennial Smiles for Boeing and Thai Airways: A lifelong Relationship is being hosted at the national airline’s head office in Bangkok.
Seen here are: Charamporn Jotikasthira (fourth from right), president, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), and Ralph Boyce (fifth from right), president, Boeing Southeast Asia, who jointly presided over the opening of a photo exhibition.
The event was also attended by THAI’s top executives and civil aviation officials and VIPs.
