The latest major update to Microsoft's Windows 10 operating system has been delayed. Roll-out of the Spring Creators Update, initially expected around April 10, has been pushed back following serious stability problems. In fact, a new beta version of the update is now being tested by members of the Windows Insiders program.

This latest version of the update (Preview Build 17134) corrects stability issues in the previous version (17133), which provoked several crashes and the famous “blue screen of death” for certain testers. Evidently, until Microsoft is certain that the final version of the update is fully stable, it can't be deployed on a large scale. In fact, Microsoft has given no official release date for the update.

This eagerly awaited major update, dubbed the Spring Creators Update, brings a new Timeline feature that effectively lets users pick up where they left off, across devices, via a taskbar icon next to Cortana showing up to 30 days of past activity. This will first of all function with Microsoft applications (Office, Edge, etc.) and is fully customisable.
