SEOUL, April 25 — Asus goes head to head with other Chinese manufacturers with its latest mid-range smartphone, the ZenFone Max Pro M1.
India has become an extremely attractive market for smartphone manufacturers and it has not gone unnoticed by the big Chinese brands, such as Xiaomi, Huawei, OnePlus and Asus.
In fact, Asus has just launched its ZenFone Max Pro M1 with similar specs to its main competitor the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro but with a lower price tag, as well as hosting the latest Android 8.1 Oreo.
Both models share a 6-inch (1080 x 2160) IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, Snapdragon 636 chipset and the same CPU as well as GPU spec
“ZenFone Max Pro offers users up to 20 hours of YouTube video playback, up to 42 hours 3G talk time, and up to 28 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing. On a single charge, users can enjoy playing more: for example, up to 45 rounds[i] of Mobile Legends, or up to 2 seasons of Games of Thrones.”
And that’s not all — once users have binged on their favourite TV series and spoken to all their friends, they won’t have to wait too long before doing it all again as this device will charge with lightning-fast charge times.
“ZenFone Max Pro can charge its 5000mAh battery from 0per cent to 100per cent in just 2 hours and 42 minutes, compared to some rival products with a 4000mAh battery that need well over 3 hours,” the announcement continued.
As for the camera setup, this ‘mid-ranger’ comes with dual rear cameras but features two different configurations. For an entry model that comes with 3GB and 4GB of RAM, the rear cameras will be 13MP and 5MP with the front one at 8MP.
