Nissan will introduce its newest model, the Nissan terra, in Thailand and Indonesia this year, with Cambodia, as well as other markets in Southeast Asia, following shortly after.
The vehicle was introduced to the region on Monday in the Philippines. After its launch in China in April, the Philippines is the second market worldwide to receive the vehicle.
The spacious, mid-size SUV boasts top-of-the-line engine and driving performance, according to Automotive World, a leading provider of automotive industry information.
The launch of the vehicle, which will be built in Nissan’s factory in Thailand, seeks to capitalise on Southeast Asia’s growing demand for SUVs and new cars in general.
“The new Nissan Terra is being built in and for Southeast Asia. It demonstrates our commitment to making innovation accessible to more customers in the region,” said Yutaka Sanada, Nissan’s regional vice president.
