The Singapore tourism industry has been very receptive about the positive impact that the Integrated Resorts (IR) have made in Singapore's travel and tourism industry.
“Singapore has definitely benefitted from the addition of the two integrated resorts,” Fairmont Singapore general manager and regional vice president Asia Ian Wilson said.
“Their presence has helped to raise the profile of the destination, and I think it is safe to say that they have helped hotels in Singapore. “We look forward to continuing to work with them and with the STB to further promote the city.” Event organisers are also positive about the impact that the two IRs play in Singapore.
“The presence of the two IRs provides more options for the Singapore’s MICE space for event organisers,” IIR Exhibitions Pte Ltd (Asia) managing director Rosalind Ng said.“With more venue options, organisers would benefit from more competitive rates and innovative offerings, which ultimately benefits the industry.”
