A caravan last week travelled from Thailand to Vietnam via Cambodia to promote the tourism potential of the southern economic corridor, which stretches from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh City.
Organised by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), the caravan rode on March 1-7, crossing the Thailand-Cambodia and the Cambodia-Vietnam borders, in an effort to generate awareness about up-and-coming tourism destinations in the area and sustainable tourism.
PATA chairman Thoun Sinan told Khmer Times the initiative seeks to boost awareness of new tourism destinations and promote land travel within the three neighbouring nations.
