China and Japan are working together to boost tourism into Japan after the Great East Japan Earthquake earlier this year.Government leaders announced earlier this month that as part of the plan China will send a large tourism group to Japan as well as release the restriction on imports, The Daily Yomiuri reported.
Japan's Prime Minister Naoto Kan and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao agreed in Tokyo that up to 100 tourism administrators and travel company presidents will visit Japan from 30 May this year to attend an exchange forum to be held in Tokyo and Osaka.
As well as targeting industry officials, campaigns will be launched to encourage younger travellers back in to the region, with China inviting up to 500 Japanese youth from disaster-hit regions to the forum to work with 50 Japan based earthquake and disaster experts.
