Registration opens for ecotourism mart

Buyer registration for the International Ecotourism, Nature and Adventure Mart to be held in conjunction with the 3rd World Ecotourism Conference in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, 3 to 5 October, opened last Friday.

Applicants must be involved in ecotourism such as eco-based accommodation, eco-destinations and development, community-based tourism, responsible tourism, eco-certification, green tourism solutions and equipment and sustainable tourism education.

The organisers expect some 30 buyers from the region to join the ENAM and have budgeted to partially host 20 pre-qualified quality buyers. Qualification will depend on their use of websites and social media in marketing ecotourism, nature and adventure travel packages as well as track record in sales.

As for sellers in this category all of the 20 booths allocated to the mart are booked.

Buyers and sellers at the mart can also participate in some of the conference activities. Exceptions are the keynote address on 3 October, Plenary Session, ecotourism business seminar and the ecotourism research symposium 4 October. To attend these events an additional US$120 fee must be paid.
