PHRAE, 9 August 2012: The Tourism Authority of Thailand Phrae office is working with Phrae Vocational School to establish an ASEAN Study Centre to build language skills for the ASEAN Economic Community in 2015.
The ASEAN Study Centre opened, today, at the town centre school, with several seminars and exhibitions related to AEC.
It will include an exhibition of national costumes, cultural performances and stalls selling various foods representing the 10 nations of the ASEAN region. In addition, TAT is holding an exhibition on famous attractions in ASEAN countries.
The main goal of the centre is to help students improve their English language skills and to provide tuition for an additional 500 people a year through vocational training programmes.
Phrae is a located in North Thailand and famous for its teak wood handicrafts and furniture.
