The Hawaii Tourism Association announced their first and next generation global membership program.
?We are off to a great start,? HiTA president Juergen Thomas Steinmetz said. ?The response to our initial international call to attract members was excellent. We received a lot of support from mostly medium and small size businesses. Their hope is to get a voice and establish new connections on a global marketplace."
Membership is open to anyone. Current members include travel agencies, tour operators and travelers anywhere in the world. Local members in Hawaii are hotels, attractions, restaurants, shops, and regular citizens concerned about tourism. So far members have joined not only from Hawaii, but from countries as far away as India or Germany.
Member will have an effective voice to communicate issues relevant to the Hawaii tourism industry. HiTA is building a global network of tourism ambassadors for Hawaii.
Members of the selling travel industry can receive potential sales leads. HiTA works with the U.S. Department of Commerce to participate at key international trade events.
The monthly membership fee is $25.00.

The Hawai`I Tourism Association?s (HITA) mission is to inform, educate, and update the global travel industry on current and emerging trends, economics, events, activities, businesses, and marketing that help shape the tourists? perception of the Hawaiian Islands.
