(Forimmediaterelease.net) Seychelles Minister Alain St.Ange discussed future partnership in the field of culture and tourism with a high delegation from La Reunion island.
Headed by the Vice President of the Regional Council, Mrs. Huguette Vidot, the La Reunion delegation comprised of Ms. Dominique Remy, principal of the tourism institute of Lycee Evariste de Parny; Mr. Phillip Mehouas of the institute of Lycee Hotelier Renaissance; and Mrs. Raziah Locate, the principal of Centhor Institute paid a courtesy call on Minister St.Ange. The Vice President of Reunion Regional Council said that Reunion is keen to discuss cultural advancement projects with the Seychelles Ministry of Tourism and Culture.
“La Reunion island is engaged in a wide range of tourism projects with the Seychelles Tourism Academy. In doing so, La Reunion has founded a strong working partnership with the Academy. It is widely understood that culture brings considerable benefits to Seychelles. La Reunion engages to stimulate cultural projects with Seychelles and working closely with the Ministry of Tourism and Culture to develop this partnership,” said Mrs. Huguette Vidot.
Mrs. Huguette Vidot said that with the building of the Academy of Excellence, La Reunion will consider sending students in Seychelles to be trained in the Academy.
The La Reunion delegation was in Seychelles with students and lecturers from Tourism institutions of Centhor, Evariste de Parny, and Renaissance.
The Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture, Alain St.Ange, thanked the La Reunion delegation for coming to Seychelles to showcase the island’s culinary skills at the Festival Kreol 2012. He welcomed their support to closely work with the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.
