(Forimmediaterelease.net) Seychelles and Nigeria Tourism agree to find ways to work together
Mr Otumba Segun Runsewe the Director General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation and Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism have agreed to find ways to work together now that both countries are part of the ICTP (International Council of Tourism Partners).
The two Tourism Leaders met after the ICTP Function which was again this year held on the Seychelles Stand at WTM 2012 where Geoffrey Lipman explained the way forward for the only grass root tourism organization that now has over 500 members from across the globe. Juergen Steinmetz and Minister Alain St.Ange are the other two tourism professionals who worked alongside Geoffrey Lipman in the setting up of ICTP.
Mr Otumba Segun Runsewe of Nigeria has now joined the ICTP and wants to assist to make it the world tourism organization it deserves to be. Nigeria has proposed the next general meeting of members to be held at ITB 2013 in Berlin..
Nigeria and Seychelles are looking to cooperation to find ways to make tourism more an African Union mission and also Nigeria is considering participating at the 2013 Edition of the Carnaval International de Victoria, the annual Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands carnival that is held annually in Seychelles.
“Our meeting was cordial and we both agreed that working together would be a plus for our respective countries as it will be for Africa” Minister St.Ange of the Seychelles said.
