BANGKOK, 18 December 2012: The second edition of the Thailand Tourism Forum will be held 31 January 2013 at Inter-Continental Hotel, Bangkok.

The event is co-organised by American Chamber of Commerce – Thailand (AMCHAM), Travel and Tourism Committee and Greater Phuket Chapter, AMCHAM and C9 Hotelworks.

The event will start at 1600 with opening remarks and Thailand Tourism Scoreboard by C9 Hotelworks, Bill Barnett. Minor Hotel Group CEO, Dillip Rajakarier; Dusit International CEO, Chanin Donavanik; Inter-Continental Hotels Group COO, Asia Australasia, Clarence Tan and Onyx Hospitality & Hotels, Peter Henley will be panelists at a Thailand Hotel Leaders Summit.

STR Global area director, Asia, Jonas Ogren will talk on Hotel Market Recap 2012: Major and Secondary Thai Destinations, while Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, international director, Mike Batchelor, will present an investment and hotel transaction market update.

Thai Entrepreneurs will speak on leading change in Thailand in 2013. Speakers are: Sukosol Hotels managing director, Marisa Sukosol Nunbhakdi; Akaryn Hospitality Management managing director, Anchalika Kijkanakorn; Kasemkij Group, group director, Waew Tirawan Pangsrivongse.

PATA Strategic Intelligence Centre special advisor, John Koldowski, will deliver five viewpoints on Thailand’s Airports: Will They Enable or Hold Back Thailand’s Tourism Growth?.

The event will close with a presentation on Thailand Tourism: Readiness for ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) 2015 by Zinc-InVision Hospitality director, Charles Blocker.

Attendance is free with cocktails compliments of Inter-Continental Hotels following at the close of the sessions from 1800 to 1900.
