Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana (front row, centre) recently visited Thai Airways International’s booth at ITB’s Asia Pavilion where Her Royal Highness was welcomed by Dr. Sorajak Kasemsuvan (front row, fourth from left), THAI President, Mr. Danuj Bunnag (front row, second from left), THAI Executive Vice President of Commercial and Mrs. Sunathee Isvarphornchai (front row, first from left), THAI Vice President of E-Customer Relations, Mr. Nond Kalinta (front row, fifth from left), THAI Director of Europe, Africa, Central Asia, and Middle East, together with THAI management from Frankfurt and Munich offices.
HRH Princess Ubolratana graciously experienced THAI’s new Royal First Class seats, on display at the booth and installed in the A380 aircraft. Reflecting the importance of Thainess, as the national carrier of Thailand, the theme of THAI’s booth at ITB this year is “The Smoothest Way to Fly Non-Stop to Bangkok, the Heart of Asia.” The presentation area for the new seats enables visitors to get to know and feel a new level of in-flight comfort of THAI’s products.
At this year’s ITB Berlin Convention from March 6 to 10, THAI proudly showcases its new Royal First Class seat that is offered to passengers on board the Airbus A380. THAI has ordered six of the world’s biggest civil aviation aircraft with the first delivery in September 2012. In December 2012, THAI launched its A380 flights on the route between Bangkok and Frankfurt, further increasing its passenger capacity on this route that is operated double-daily nonstop. In THAI′s A380 configuration, the new flagship aircraft is host to 507 passengers in three classes of service.
Dr. Sorajak Kasemsuvan, THAI President, attending ITB at Berlin for the first time, said, "Germany is one of our key markets. Following the introduction of the A380 on the route Bangkok-Frankfurt in 2012, we are already facing the next major event. In November, we celebrate the fortieth anniversary of THAI flights to Frankfurt.”
