Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort hosts over 200 running & fitness enthusiasts

BALI, INDONESIA – Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort congratulates the 220 runners, walkers and supporters for participating in the first-ever ‘Sheraton 3K Kuta Beach Fun Run' on Saturday, April 20, 2013.  As the resort’s first sports-themed activity, the 3K Kuta Beach Fun Run launched Sheraton Fitness by Core Performance, a membership lifestyle program of Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort to promote healthy living and fitness. More than 200 enthusiastic runners, walkers and cheering spectators gathered at beachwalk in front of the Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort. The beautiful 3K course ran along the beach with spectacular and motivating views of the Indian Ocean. Divided into Men and Women’s divisions, the top three men finishers were Greg Baba (Singapore); John D’Amour (UK); and Jacob Maugeri (Italy). The top three women finishers were Yanuk Dewi (Indonesia); Yoni (Japan); and Patricia Heny (Indonesia).

The top three finishers in each division received adidas gear as well as well as complimentary memberships at Sheraton Fitness by Core Performance at Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort. Jaxon White (United States) and Ika Yudiniati (Indonesia) were crowned with the enviable title of Most Photogenic Runners – the happiest participants caught on camera. Both received adidas shopping vouchers.

Each participant received a complimentary “event swag bag” with an exclusive running shirt from Sheraton Fitness by Core Performance, mineral waters and 'Color Your Plate'-inspired healthy snacks specially crafted by the resort’s culinary team to boost.  Participants were led in a fun pre-race warm-up by the chief trainer at Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort. Afterwards, participants enjoyed a complimentary buffet breakfast at Feast, the resort’s signature all-day dining restaurant featuring a vibrant open kitchen.
