Delicious desserts, live cooking demonstrations, a boat ride across the river and an evening focused on famous films were just some of the highlights from Destination Britain 2013 thus far.
Destination Britain Asia-Pacific Middle East and Africa (APMEA) hosted a record number of buyers and sellers in Bangkok this week, offering an opportunity to network and develop relationships.
Face-to-face meetings, destination seminars and informative presentations fill the day.
At night, however, it’s a much different story...
On the first night, in support of its popular GREAT campaign, VisitBritain wowed delegates with a delectable British dinner and live cooking demonstration by celebrity chef, Gary Rhodes.
The British chef produced the evening’s delectable dessert, an iced lemon fool.
On the second evening the GREAT campaign highlighted the legacy of British cinema, transporting guests from the Shangri-La to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel across the Chao Phraya river.
The theme for the event was ‘dress to impress’ and guests didn’t disappoint.
VisitBritain hosted a film quiz, testing guests’ knowledge of the 98 feature films produced in the United Kingdom.
A poolside dinner at the Shangri-La has been organised for the final night’s entertainment, with the theme, ‘Music is GREAT’, to farewell attendees in proper British fashion.
